This course will introduce participants to the fundamentals of knowledge management (KM), including the key concepts, processes, strategies, frameworks and different types of knowledge management systems. It will also cover organizational and societal aspects of KM, including knowledge organization, KM governance and culture, knowledge inclusion, knowledge diversity, and equal access to information. Participants will also learn about the KM elements of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and how they can be implemented. The course will consist of 16 one-hour modules and will be conducted in English.
